Can we have special characters or symbols in mail box rule.I need assistance for the below.

Rule name: [\t\r\n]U2980[\t\r\n]

Concern: when I run the rule with Subject/Body contains iam able to get the incident at service desk.But when I try to run the rule with subject/Email body as per the attachment it doesn't work out so kindly advice.

If you are running CA SDM 17.1, have you installed the maileater patch SO05289

WIN-MAILEATER COMBO FIX 

Current version is 17.0 and mail rule is working.When I follow through the attachment(I had attached the mail) its not working.

As Chi_Chen indicated, please open a CA Support case so that this behavior can be investigated further.

Considering you are running r17.0, there is not much that can be investigated whilst running that version as this is obsolete and was replaced by r17.1. At best you need to upgrade to r17.1_RU1 and apply SO05289 which addresses the many maileater issues.

This was mentioned to you in the support case#: 01243623 (and now 01259434) which is now on hold pending you to upgrade to r17.1_RU1 and applying SO05289 on top of it.
