    Hello,

we are struggling with issues with Windows 10 and RCO. We've installed the update described in the KB here:
Remote Control of Windows 10 Endpoints - CA Knowledge

But besides virtual machines and an older type of notebook that is supposed to be discontinued in our environment, we still encounter the issue described in that KB. After we specifically tried to force RCO to use the driver, we noticed that the devices that were sluggish couldn't work with RCO anymore. Only after forcing them to use polling it worked again very slowly.

Is there another update required by CA? Is there a configuration option that can be set? (We tried the recommended one at the end of the KB entry).

    Kind regards,

    Marco Lorenz

Hey Marco.  We are moving away from the current RC driver implementation for Win8 and newer in our next release.  However, there is no ETA or release date available-- this is under development literally as I type this.

For now, if the solution on the KB article did not help, please open a support case so we can investigate further.  We'll need access to a PC/laptop where we can troubleshoot.  We need to be sure the driver is actually getting hooked by RC, and not just falling back to polling mode automatically.

So until the next release, we'll have to troubleshoot what we currently have.  Please open a case and we can get started.

Thanks again for the quick reply.

I'll see to it that we'll open a case on that issue.
