Is there any way I can align text for pull-down attributes in the screenshot attached to be in one line instead of wrapping the text?

    Thanks.

    Not really.

The width of a column is determined by the width of the heading.

To get a wide heading first you uncheck the wrap text in the column heading and then you type a long heading with no spaces that would allow breaks.

The same thing with the column content: uncheck the wrap text in the column. However, that may result in the column width varying depending what that data it contains.

That is when you have those available.

urmas I thought these "word wrapping" options are available only for portlets or  object list views.
Is it available for project (or any object) create/edit views?

    That is why I say

That is when you have those available.

On the other hand you do not identify from where your screenshot is.

In object edit view, we don’t have options to control text wrapping

Do you have the comments field in the right side?

The field in left section is using the full available space, and will get wrapped if the space available is less(with the introduction of any field in right side). It has no option for developers/ admins to control. Please correct me if Im wrong.

    I do not think so.

My recollection is that if the width is not big enough it will be expanded beyond the visible area and a horizontal scroll bar will be added.

It looks awful with underscores and comments section and importantly when I mark that field as mandatory.

The underscores are not the problem, it is your text. Does not look much better without the underscores.

Just give the field a reasonable meaningful label and put the rest in a hint or link it to a html page with the full description.

As said, the labels are not wrapped if there are no spaces instead the windows is extended beyond the visible screen and a horizontal scroll bar is added to the bottom.

Thanks Urmas. Can you please share the attribute property also (from admin object view tab)

I have same attribute configuration as yours but text is getting wrapped in my case. What I was looking for is like the first attribute label in your screenshot above.

Personally, I would be undertaking what urmas indicated earlier, shorten the Property Label, and put additional text as a hint.

What I have been saying is that if the label is more than one word (string) it will be wrapped. It has to be a single string. Replace the spaces with something else like underscores or  nbsp's.
