  • 1.  Changing SMTP from email address

    Our Email suffix will be changing soon. As a result of this I need to change the from email address used by DSeries. 

     

    I've found that there is an entry in the sharedconf.xml file in C:\Program Files\CA\Workload Automation R11.3 SP1\conf\DBInit\Config and I've also found it in ESP_CONFIG_PROPERTY but I'm not at all sure how to go about changing it.

     

    Can I just update the database and the sharedconf.xml file? That seems as though it would be the easiest option.

    In digging further I've found the value in Server SHared Parameters as well, so I'm now assuming that I can just change it in there? Do I need to restart anything afterwards?

    Yes, you need to restart the DE Server. This is related doc on email settings;

    Thanks very much for that. My google fu failed me as I couldn't find that information despite several searches.
