    Hi Robert,

APM does not directly & specifically support monitoring Remedy Action Request System. However APM is able to monitor Java applications in a generic sense using the Java Agent configured with a "default" configuration. This may be a feasible option.

Does ARS run on Tomcat or another Java Application Server? If so, we do support monitoring of Java applications on various Application Server platforms with the APM Java agent. However, please note that ARS is not specifically certified compatible by CA Technologies.

See this documentation about the Java agent and the subsections about various application servers. This is for APM 10.7, the current release.

    Regards,

    Gordon.

    Hi,

yes, it will run on Tomcat so where I can update the agent.jar and introscopeagent.profile location so that the agent starts.

    Hi Robert,

You'll need to find out where within Remedy the script to start Tomcat  lives (usually catalina.bat or catalina.sh) and add parameters for the agent to the script. See the link below for details:

Configure Apache Tomcat to Use the Java Agent.

    Regards,

    Gordon.

    Hi Gordon_Preston

Do we have to add the agent parameters to the Tomcat startup script?

    Thanks
