AutoSys Workload Automation

  • 1.  I could not able to install Autosys SP7 on Redhat 7.6 could you please explain why?

    After gone through log i have found below error

    06:33:41 +++ Modify: /opt/CA/WorkloadAutomationAE/autosys

    06:33:41 +++ Changed group (to: auto11, was: 1102)
    Owner "auto11" or group "auto11" cannot be assigned to the file "/opt/CA/WorkloadAutomationAE/autosys".
    Reason: An unknown user or group identifier might have been used to install a file.
    Action: Create the user or group account before installing the product.

    06:33:41 ++ Component "CAWorkloadAutomationAE, ENU" installed with error: 16
    06:33:41
    Terminating install. Reverting changes.

    Hello Ramakiran,

    I'm facing the same issue. Please let me know how you resolved the issue.

    Not able to Install SP8 on RHEL 7 server.

    This is clearly a permissions issue.

     

    Check with your systems team on the user and the group to which it belongs. That should resolve your issue immedaitely.

    Hi Sandeep,

    1) I'm running the installer with root access

    2) I added the group autosysg, i validated autosys user already existed.

    3) I tried other user group as well, not able to move forward.
