  • 1.  Is it Possible to launch UFT.exe from TDM Portal as a Post-publish activity?

    We have a requirement to launch UFT from TDM Portal as a post-publish action. While doing so, it is being launched as 'System' user improperly instead of Portal user. Any suggestions, please?

    Hi Srini,

     

    Any application can be launched as an action its just that you have to invoke the application from a batch file and this batch file should be added as an action(Action type-Host,and in Action code place the full path to the batch file for ex. D:\batchfilefolder\batchfilename.bat).

    Hi,

     

        As an FYI the Post action Host is by default disabled but can be reenabled by editing the application.properties file.  With TDM 4.7 a new REST action was added that can be used to trigger a script in a docker container that can also be used to call this kind of post action.
