How can we make acknowledged alarms more persistant?

    Hi,

Since a year we are utilizing spectrum and PM to monitor customer networks.

In most things, this works out pretty well. However we are having trouble with one effect of spectrum.

Sometimes network devices get SNMP unreachable or power cycled at the customer site. If it contained an existing alarm (also on a child model), we need to re-acknowledge this alarm. For instance open/outstanding "link status" alarms. Is it possible to make a alarm more persistent in its acknowledgement, that it will survive a reboot or snmp unreachable state?

    Regards,

    Hi Rob,

I do not see a way of doing this since the alarm was acknowledged.  If the alarm would be system cleared and not acknowledged, you could use Flash Green.

    Tuesday Tip: Monitoring System-Cleared Alarms

However, in your case, since the alarm has been acknowledged, Flash Green will not work.

    Best regards,
