    Hi,

Our IT team installed fresh CA DEvtest 10.2 in my machine, where i am trying to run registry, but it is throwing an error "lisa.db cannot be created".

Also when i am trying to alter VMoption file of any service( for instance Registry service) to increase memory, file is not saving, instead gettiung a popup saying "File cannot be saved and it may be protected".

I have an admin rights too.

What could be the issue in both cases ?

    Thanks,

    Sabir

    Hi Sabir --

The problems you're seeing are usually an access rights issue in Windows.

Even with admin rights, Windows can have corporate policies applied to it that make the folder (and all subfolders) "C:\Program Files" read-only.

If you have admin rights, you should be able to go into the Windows File Explorer and force the DevTest folder to be read-write.

Another way to fix it would be to re-install DevTest into a folder that isn't under "C:\Program Files".
