  • 1.  System stuck 'In Progress' during Bulk Loading

    CA Identity Manager 14.2

     

    I am executing the Bulk Loader to modify about 700 users. The system completes about 500 of them quickly and then it gets stuck, with status 'In Progress', for the remaining users. After a while (about 20 minutes, usually) it gets back to work processing the last users.

     

    Is there any reason for this to happen?

    Is there any settings to avoid this behavior?

    Maybe there is some sort of timeout I am not aware of.

    What version if IDM are you running?  Is this a cluster?  If so, how many nodes?

    IDM version is 14.2. It is a cluster with 2 nodes.

     

    About the change you suggest to the Modify User task:

    if I turn off the Account Synchronization option, will the new values update on the provisioned systems?

    If Account Synchronization is Off, no changes will be sent to the provisioned accounts.  What do the logs show during the 20 minutes that tasks seem to be stuck?  In View Submitted Tasks, are there events in progress for those tasks?  It could be performing some provisioning related activities.

    Ok, so I cannot turn Account Synchronization off, I need those provisioned accounts to be up to date.

    During the 20 minutes the tasks are stuck the logs show nothing and in View Submitted Tasks I can see the events In Progress for those tasks.

    No other clue of what is actually happening.
