  • 1.  UPGRADE CA Single Sign-on 12.52 to 12.8

    Hi all.,

I have a question about the policy store upgrade. Is there any way to get evidence of the policy Store upgrade (version or something else)?

I tried for XPSConfig but I did not find anything that could help me.

    Thank you.

FYI...Show more detailed Policy Store schema version

Below are the steps for upgrading policy store schema, if you haven't done it already. And re-importing the data definitions will not harm the existing objects.

Upgrade Policy Store - CA Single Sign-On - 12.8 - CA Technologies Documentation

Run the following XPSDDInstall SmMaster.xdd command to import the required data definitions.

    XPSDDInstall SmMaster.xdd

Import one of the following files:

    • smpolicy.xml: Import smpolicy.xml by running the following command:

      XPSImport smpolicy.xml -npass

Import the default-fedobjects-config.xml file using the following command:

    XPSImport default-fedobjects-config.xml -npass

-npass specifies that no passphrase is required.

    Many thanks for the reply.
One more information, my repository is in the CA Directory.
I still need to know if there is any way to have evidence that the upgrade has been successfully completed, is there any way to validate it?

    Hello Fabio,

I'm not sure if it helps as an evidence, but you can run a xpssweeper to check if there's any error on your policy store after having upgraded the Policy server :

      • xpssweeper -a
