    Good Afternoon, How do I access time sheets in ca ppm?

    Classic PPM > Home > personal > Timesheets

    Modern UX through > http://server/pm/ 

     

    Administration > General Settings > System Options 

    New User Experience > Activate Timesheets

    If checkbox enabled, then you have got them accessible through the Modern UX, otherwise on the Classic one

    You might consider giving Timesheets - Navigate global right to access the timesheet list page

    The activate timesheets checkbox is enabled and I’ve given the timesheet global right to access but still, I can not access the timesheets.

    If you do not activate timesheets can you access the timesheet list page in Classic UI?
    If you cannot, what happens when you try?

    If you activate timesheets can you see the timesheet icon in the left menu in New UI.

    Does your user have time entry or timesheet edit or timesheet approve rights?

    Is it one user or all?

    I activated the timesheets but still I can not see the timesheet icon in the left menu in New UI, the user has all the timesheet rights.

    Check to make sure the user is turned on for time entry. On the Home > Resources > Resource Properties > Settings, make sure Track Mode is set to PPM, Open for Time Entry is checked, and an Input Type Code is selected.

    I do not have resources under the home tab its under administration but it does not have resource properties and settings.

    If you do not have this in Home menu

    you do not have resource rights. Add at least some view rights to see if that makes a difference.

    Not seeing something like resources or timesheets is an indication of missing rights.

     

    Even if you have activated the timesheets in New UI you should be able to access them at

    ://<your server> /niku/nu#action:timeadmin.timesheetBrowserReturn

    To me Unauthorized, You are not authorized to view this page - says it you do not have the rights.

    Add global Resource - Navigate. If you do not have any Resource view add global or instance.

    Then try agian.

    I have tried to add another resource and added the rights to the resource and I am able to access the timesheets but now the challenge is submitting one for approval.

    It is the Submit button. If you do not see it check your rights again for timeentry for the resource in question and open for time entry for the project, resource, task and time reporting period.

    The screenshot shows the rights that I have for timesheets, There is no time entry.

    Add instance right to enter time

    for one or more resources.

    Above are the rights for resource I see and resource enter time is not there.

    I've been looking at 15.4 and there is no global resource - enter time, it is instance right. See my previous post.

    I found it, thank you. I have added it but I still cannot enter time using the resource i have added the right for.

    Is the timeperiod between the resources hire date and fire date?

    Cannot make it from the screenshot - what is the hire date.

    What is the time period?

    So you have activated the New UI and timesheets.

    You cannot access the timesheets in New UI or Classic UI with direct links - is that correct?

     

    Open a case with support.

    To enable new timesheets, and then set up time periods and timesheets for users as an admin:
