  • 1.  autorep -m shows machine as ONLINE but autoping -m is failed

    Hi Team,

     

    We are having multiple agents which is showing as online on autorep -m however when we are trying to autoping -m <machine name> its not successful.

     

    Even nslookup <machine name>, ping <machine name> is not working

     

    we have multiple agents version like R11.3.0, R11.0, R11.1, R11.4

     

    Any idea why the autorep -m is showing as ONLINE even though the machine doesn't exist in envt anymore.

     

    How to fix these agent status?

    Any update or answer on this? Even CA technician is not responding to the case opened.

    Hi,

     

    Prior to AE 11.3.6 SP7 the agent status will only change if there is a problem sending a job request.  Autoping does not change the status of an agent.  In 11.3.6 SP7, there was an agent polling function added that will update the agent status if it can't connect to the agents port.
