  • 1.  When does "Require Encrypted Element Assertion" fail?

We are using the require encrypted element assertion to ensure there is an encrypted element in the response message. but it seems like failing even though the message element is encrypted, have right XPath selected and the signature method selected is correct.

Just trying to understand what exactly this assertion does and any possible scenarios it can fail.

    Thank you for your response!

    Good morning,

There are a variety of reasons that this assertion can fail including the message being modified in transit by another device, the gateway not having the right certificate chain trusted, etc. The best way to start would be to get the error that is produced in the logs when it fails and if possible the copy of XML for the assertion.

    Sincerely,
