  • 1.  How to upgrade agent on window system

    Posted Mar 01, 2019 09:24 AM

    To support group

All our unix systems have agent 12.1.1+build.1904

but the one windows box we use as the  with tomcat has 12.0.1+build.632

so it is not clear in manual how to upgrade the windows box.

We are unsure of this step.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Bettich,

May I know which product is this related to so that we could move this thread to correct product community.

    Hi

Upgrading a Win agent is rather simple :-)

    • Stop running agent
    • backup BIN directory
    • extract new Agent's ZIP to bin (you can delete the bootstrp3.cab, SETUP.EXE,Setup.lst as there is no need to run the setup routine)
    • As its a Major Version change I recommend using the new INI file and not using the old version -so enter your System's values into the new ini file
    • start agent

    Have fun!

    cheers, Wolfgang
