  • 1.  Adding WORKATTR eMail to an ACID

    Posted Mar 11, 2019 05:39 PM

We are looking at the adding the email address attribute to the ACID and have some questions about how others have done this. According to the CA documentation, the email address must be unique...

    1. If a user has 2+ ACIDs but only one email (within the organization), what email is used for the subsequent email addresses?
    2. What email addresses are being used for batch / system ACIDs?

    Thanks,

    Tom

    Hi Tom,

The documentation you posted has the following statement:  "The email value will be unique across all users. "
The user would have to have separate emails for each acid.  You can open an IDEA in the community if you like and see what can be done.

    Cheers,

    Hi Tom,

While the email value must be unique for each user, the WAEMAIL field is case sensitive. So in a sense you can map the same email address to multiple acids by changing the case of 1 or more of the letters. For example, if I have acids BOB1 and BOB2 and 1 email address (ie BOB@***.com), I can do the following:

    TSS ADD(BOB1) WAEMAIL(BOB@***.com)

    TSS ADD(BOB2) WAEMAIL(Bob@***.com)

    Best regards,
