Tech Tip : CA Single Sign-On : How to get a supported SiteMinder Identity Asserter on WebLogic ?

Discussion created by Patrick-Dussault Employee on Mar 18, 2019

Question:

We're running SiteMinder Identity Asserter on WebLogic and we'd like
to change it as it is not supported anymore, We'd like to get the link
for the Agent for WebLogic.

Answer:

At first glance, the latest supported ASA Agent for WebLogic is the
following one. Be aware it is supported on limited version of WebLogic
and OS :

CA Single Sign-On 12.7 Application Server Agents,
includes updates for base release and all later CRs/SPs for this release

https://support.ca.com/phpdocs/7/5262/5262_12-7_ASA_PSM.pdf

You can rely also 12.0 ASA Agent for WebLogic on other version

combination.

SiteMinder 12.0 Application Server Agents,
includes updates for base release and all later CRs/SPs for this release

https://support.ca.com/phpdocs/7/5262/5262_120_ASA_PSM.pdf

You'll find the download page here :

CA Single Sign-On (formerly CA SiteMinder)
Hotfix/Cumulative Release Index

SSO 12.7 APPLICATION SERVER AGENT FOR WEBLOGIC
ASA 12.0 FOR WEBLOGIC SP2 CR01

https://support.ca.com/us/product-content/recommended-reading/technical-document-index/ca-single-sign-on-hotfix-cumulative-release-index.html#ASA

ASA Agent 12.7 on WebLogic is supported with JDK 1.8 64bit only as per support matrix :

CA Single Sign-On 12.7 Application Server Agents,
includes updates for base release and all later CRs/SPs for this release

WebLogic 12cR2 12.2.1.3

2. 12.7 CA Single Sign-On Application Server Agent for Oracle Weblogic 12cR2 (64-bit) is certified using Java 1.8 (64-bit)

https://support.ca.com/phpdocs/7/5262/5262_12-7_ASA_PSM.pdf

And WebLogic 12cR2 12.2.1.3 supports JDK 1.8.
