  • 1.  RA FTP Job - Different user

    Posted Mar 21, 2019 04:54 AM

    Hallo,

we install our ra ftp binaries with user A (just an install user)

Our customer use the agent for a ftp jobs to copy from a server to the agent destination with user B (Login Object under attributes).

Is this normal that after the copy process the file has the permission of user A? it makes sense that it will have the user B because of the LOGIN Object.

How do u use/solve the FTP Jobs?

Or should we install the ra binaries such like os agent with root and 4755 under linux?

    Thx Peter

    Hi

Just for clearafication: The Login object is not honored in RA FTP Jobs!

    Only the CONN object.

When using Service Manager to manage the RA agent you can define a domain\user and password. If you define those values the RA agent will use them to access local resources. I have confirmed this on Windows Systems only.
