  • 1.  Period Turn Around Delay

    Posted Mar 22, 2019 11:22 AM

Any job that is scheduled to run at (period turn) 00:00 - 00:15 has a delay from the activation time to the start time.  After this delay all the jobs run normal with no delay.  The delay times can vary slightly but that is probably due to the number of activations on that day?

Has anyone else dealt with this issue and if so was there any configuration setting/s that fixed the issue for you?

    Thanks

    Pete

    Hi

this is a topic for an experienced consultant who knows your system and amount of activations etc.

in genaral - so without knowing your system you could:

    * add some WPs (during activation phase at midnight) and see if the activation time decreases

    * change period turnaround of some schedules to spread activation workload on a wider period

    cheers, Wolfgang

    Thanks Wolfgang,

We have tried both of the those recommendations in the past.  We suspect its the hardware specks and the amount that its processing which has increased significantly over time.

We have TAM support from CA and are working with them.  We just wanted to reach out to the communities for any 2nd opinions and information that could be helpful. It does not seem to be much of a complaint from others here from the bit of searching we did.

    Thanks

    Pete
