  • 1.  How can we change a name of an item on the dashboard component?

    Hello,

We are producing reports for CPU, Memory and Temperatura but the name that appear for each item on the reports is not meaningfull for our client.

    Example:

The name of the CPU is "CPU + index" according to the vendor certification and we wanted it to be the entPhysicalDescr ou entPhysicalName, from the Entity MIB.

What is the best way to do this? Can you help?

    Thank you.

    Hi Bruno,

Not specific to CPU elements, but the same process would apply if changing the Vendor Certification to provide different names.

How to modify Response Path Component Element name - CA Knowledge

Also can be done a few other ways with Alias names.

Set Component Name Aliases - CA Performance Management - 3.6 - CA Technologies Documentation

    Thanks,

    Mike

Thank you for the reply Michael.

We wanted to change the name for CPU based on an SNMP table that is not on the CPU Vendor Certification. (in this case an variable from Entity Mib)

Do you know what is the best way to add a new SNMP table to an existing certification?

    Thank you.

you can add new certification and merge it with the metric family of cpu choose OIDs of your choice for polling and representation.
