Hello, is there already any strategy in place regarding AI usage in CA PPM (e.g. see: Artificial intelligence seen taking over most pro... )

What AI-driven features of Clarity PPM do you have in mind?

Bring WhoZoo back and use it to enhance/replace the Skills object.  Identify resource best fit and available for project.

Bot to remind users to complete timesheets (remove administrator’s job to send reminders; should work whether user has created timesheet or not; should escalate to resource’s manager after reasonable expiration of user inaction).

Ecosystem for knowledge management and application of lessons learned to.  (check on Auros (https://aurosks.com/) as they have an infrastructure which AI/ML could be applied to)

ClickUp<https://clickup.com/>. A PM tool that recently came to market, ClickUp, is truly one-of-a-kind in the project management software industry. While still in beta, its algorithms can already:

    •   Predict the best team member for a task and assign those tasks to them

    •   Automatically tag users in comments based on relevancy contexts

    •   Visualize notifications and updates

    •   Predict deadlines that won’t be met

    •   Correct task time estimates

    (from:  https://blog.capterra.com/i-project-manager-the-rise-of-artificial-intelligence-in-the-workplace/)

Fill in blanks – encourage users to provide better info to raise quality of assumptions made by AI to fill in blanks.

AI and user created metadata – the data that may lead to better analysis can’t be limited to the officially created attributes and pick lists that go through formal review/approval processes.

Reading several articles on how AI/ML could be applied to better estimate task durations and manage risk of on-time completion of a WBS.  This could be an excellent application to a TOC/CCPM scheduled project, where the buffer durations and their usage estimates are adjusted (e.g. currently, a buffer may lose a 5-days if a task is late 5-days – with AI/ML, this adjustment might be 15 days as the AI/ML may look and find that the resources for following tasks are getting routinely pulled to work on other stuff rather than their scheduled work; the AI/ML might also suggest alternative resources if the behavior of the assigned resources cannot be changed).

    Kind regards,

    Nice post Dale.

Also, take a look at pmotto.  https://www.pmotto.ai/

AI in Clarity is a clear need for the short future.

    PMOtto looks very interesting.

Should we be asking if this type of thing can replace apps like CAPA and LetzNav?  When they say “I’m fully functional on your favorite project and portfolio management tool” does that include Clarity PPM?  Have some calls to make, I expect.

One thing:  I noted that their website lists Webinars and Events for 2018, including one for October 3, 2018 which is still open for registration.  Apparently, Otto isn’t looking at their own content.
