  • 1.  removing sysadm from a scheduled job id

Anyone out there using acf2 for db2?  Having a devil of a time removing sysadm from an id that has to create views for another id in a scheduled job.  If I could use program pathing or source in the rules I'd be set. We use e(sgp for secondary auths for nesting purposes but putting the scheduler id in a secondary auth doesn't help with create.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Hi Kevin,

Is this functionality available with native DB2?

ACF/DB2 validates the same resources as provided by native DB2.

Is there a way in DB2 to only allow SYSADM for a scheduled job?

Can you provide more details of what you mean by "scheduled".

We use ca7 to schedule jobs in this case we the job does a set current sql id to another id before creating new views.  No I don’t know of anything in native db2 security that would handle this issue.
