We are looking for a best way to track the effort for resources on BAU activities at practise level.
For ex: if resource A who is part of Testing practise, is working on project for 50% and remaining 50% on change request (non project) BAU activity.
Is it a good idea to leverage other work and track that effort, instead of project BAU as that will not have start and finish dates like project? Only issue I see is BAU codes has to be setup per practise and track and maintain the resource allocations appropriately. Any thoughts on this please?
