    Hi,

Customer is demanding LINKS Flapping report from CAPC. Is there any metric any MIB that support this functionality.

if any oid exists i will add VC in PC to achieve this.

Or is there any way to achieve this by CA Spectrum as link flapping alarms are available in Spectrum.

    Regards

    Hi Akash:

If by flapping port we mean ifadminstatus / ifoperstatus going up and down, I can't think of a great way to do this in CAPC.  I know Spectrum shows this with events

The only thing might be using openapi to list interfaces (which could include the interface status).  I have not tested this so I am not sure if it would work

Your better bet might be spectrum.  You may want to open an issue witht he spectrum team

    Hi Akash,

Have a look at the Event Rate condition (https://docops.ca.com/ca-spectrum/10-3-2/en/managing-network/event-configuration/working-with-event-rules/#WorkingwithEventRules-EventRateRules).  We've used this in a number of cases where we aren't interested if an event occurs once or twice, but repeated instances of an event indicate an issue.

It's pretty easy to generate a new event should the target event occur x times in t seconds.

Reporting on these is a different matter, so this might only answer part of your question, but hopefully it's a start.
