Which probe is best to collect metrics for blades, hypervisors, etc?

  • 1.  Which probe is best to collect metrics for blades, hypervisors, etc?

    I am investigating on the best probe to collect metrics at the hardware layer. Our company wants to detect hardware failures but not sure which probe is best for this. My first that thought is snmpcollector probe but not sure. any recommendations?

    Either snmpget or snmpcolector.

    also, check with the hardware vendor to understand what metrics are available and how that information can be collected.
