ESP Workload Automation

  • 1.  How to set-up ESP to track workload on different LPAR.

We want to a single ESP master subsystem to submit and track jobs on an LPAR that is not part of the master sysplex. Is it possible for a single master to be configured to perform this function ?

The documentation mentions master and proxy configuration to track workload on more than one z/OS image, this seems to be for the z/OS images on a sysplex where files can be shared.

    Hi Vernon,

You can install another ESP master on the other LPAR where the job runs, and set up communication between the two Masters thru TCPIP or VTAM LU6.2 or JES communication protocal:

    Hope this helps,
