Hello,
Does anyone knows what are the requirements for the new OOTB availability report starts showing data on UIM 9.10?
I have all the UIM environment upgraded: robot 9.10, hub 9.10 and the cabi report package deployed on cabi 4.10 .. but I am not clear about why I still not seeing data, do I need to enable or deploy another probe?
Regards,
Rui
The availability report requires the following metrics:
Nutanix - QOS_NUTANIX_INSTANCE_POWER_STATE
HyperV - QOS_HYPERV_INSTANCE_POWER_STATE
Openstack - QOS_OPENSTACK_INSTANCE_POWER_STATE
Found at: Availability Reports - CA Unified Infrastructure Management Probes - CA Technologies Documentation
I activated the icmp probe for this and now the avail. report is having data..
Thanks for the quick reply !!
I have deploy the ICMP probe into my test robot and I have set the icmp test to himself but still the device is not showing on the report, I´m following the process wrong??
Do you see the QoS: qos_service_availability?
(select * from S_QOS_DATA where qos = 'QOS_SERVICE_AVAILABILITY')
That was the only thing I needed on my test systems.
yes, I can see one entry for the device I have set.
Try perhaps to poll several devices. (as a test)
The report is not reacting 100% accurate in my tests.
Example: I have 4 devices polled in an USM group. All 4 have the icmp QOS created.
When selecting that group from CABI 'availability by group' I can select the 4 devices and only 3 devices are reported on (?)
Sorry what do you mean with "polled in an USM group", did you created a USM group added the devices into it?... But you had to create the ICMP profiles using the adminconsole, correct?.. because using the MCS only with the net_connect probe and that probe is not seems to create the metric needed here.
regards,
I have an USM group with 4 devices in it.
I defined those 4 devices in the icmp probe via admin console.
Than I used "availability by group", selected my usm group and selected "all"
(from the 4 selected devices only 3 appeared on the report)
Thanks for sharing your steps it really help me to understand how it works.
in addition please note
For Physical Devices monitored by deploying local robot, the Device Availability is calculated using the new hub-level metric added with hub 7.96 and later. Device up-time is calculated as robot up-time, assuming that if the robot is up, then the device is also up and available.
see here for the instruction son how to enable this
