DX Application Performance Management

Hi Team,

As per the documentation for Node.js probe the URL is "https://www.npmjs.com/package/ca-apm-probe/v/1.10.82"

I tried but not able to fix how to download the probe. Can someone guide me how to download the probe ?

Hello Amit,

The page https://www.npmjs.com/package/ca-apm-probe/v/1.10.82 gives the information about the probe.

Npm is Node package manager, the page is telling you about the probe. To use the probe, you download it using a command with npm involved, the page gives you the options and the commands to run

Install the Probe Agent Globally (No Code Changes)

Install the Probe Agent Per Application (No Code Changes)

Install and Manually Configure the Probe Agent as an Application Dependency (Code Change)

You will need to have either a collector agent or Infrastructure Agent running on the same machine. The probe will send the data to the collector agent / Infrastructure Agent, and this will send the data to the Enterprise Manager

I got the probe. You did mentioned collector agent. 

Can you give bit more info about collector agent ??
