  • 1.  CA UIM IM Robot Error State Query Check

    Posted May 23, 2019 01:25 PM

    Hi Experts,

We are using CA UIM 8.5.1

We are having list of robots which are in error state.

We are using Below PortQuery to know why they are showing in a error state.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=24009

    sample command syntax:
    C:\PortQry\portqry -n 10.1.1.10 -e 48000
where 10.1.1.10 is the IP of the robot.

    Output:
FILTERED = firewall or something else is blocking access to the robot's controller port
NOT LISTENING = device is pingable, but there is no response on the controller port (indicated Nimsoft service is not running)
    LISTENING = should be healthy

For One Robot when we execute this query with IP address

    C:\PortQry\portqry -n 10.1.1.10 -e 48000

    And the outputs are-

    C:\Users\u400431>\PortQryUI\PortQry.exe -n 10.36.4.3 -e 48000

    Querying target system called:

    10.36.4.3

Attempting to resolve IP address to a name...

Failed to resolve IP address to name

    querying...

TCP port 48000 (unknown service): LISTENING

As it is showing LISTENING, but the robot is in error state when we checked this Robot in IM, how it will be LISTENING?

    Kindly Let me Know!

    Regards,

    Dharmender

    Dharmender -

Did you execute the PortQry command from the hub managing the robot?  If not, then try running the utility from that device.

If you did, then it's possible that the hub can communicate to the robot on port 48000, but you have not verified that the robot can communicate with the managing hub on port 48002.  If this communication is blocked, then the robot will appear in an error state.

    Hi

Is the controller probe on target robot in error state or spooler / hdb. These listen on different ports

Check in task manager locally or telnet also from remote to port 48000 to check if any zombie process
