Fellow forum members,

CA Clarity PPM – Integration Best Practices for Microsoft Office Project (Publication Date: July 12, 2010) describes the significance of modifying the options in MSP.

"A critical step in normalizing Microsoft Project to be ready for integration with CA Clarity PPM is to adjust a few of the out-of-the-box settings in the Tools>Options tabs in Microsoft Project.
If these settings are not adjusted, the project manager will notice inconsistencies with task and resource scheduling. These inconsistencies will begin to appear after the first time the project is saved to CA Clarity PPM and then opened again in Microsoft Project."

Within the document's content, the recommended options to be changed are highlighted as bot "Mandatory" and "Recommended".

We are running 12.1.1 and have rolled out Microsoft Project 2007 along with Schedule Connect to over 40 desktops. We have NOT changed any of the defaults and are attempting to justify the need to go back out and retrofit such (probably with a script)...does anyone have and "lessons learned" that they would kindly share that might aid us in justifying the need to alter the default MSP options?

Your feedback is welcomed.

last but not least...Thank goodness for Fridays!
