CA dSeries Tuesday Tip by Segun Oduntan, Sr. Support Engineer for 10/18/2011

In a High Availability configuration, the CA Workload Automation (dSeries) server installation program does not configure the Standby server default Agent because by default, the CAWA Standby server uses the default Agent on the CAWA Primary server and not the Standby server default Agent.

In order to use the CAWA Standby server default Agent, you need to manually add the Agent to the Topology on the CAWA Desktop Client and configure its agentparm.txt file accordingly.

If not properly configured, you might not be able to start and use the CAWA Standby server default Agent.
