Actuate ODBC connection issue

I've had a replacement laptop recently and am now having a problem using Actuate.

When I try to connect to the Clarity DB using an ODBC connection I keep getting a "log in failed" message.

I have created an ODBC DSN which logs in to the database. I have tested this in another application and it connects and returns data ok. When I try to use this DSN in my ODBC connection in Actuate I get the error.

I'm at my wits end with this. Actuate help is no good. Has anyone experienced this before?
