Re:OLQ menu

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Mar 4, 2005
Hello all,
I am trying to produce a ""quick and dirty"" report for the user. Was trying
to use OLQ menu mode to build the report and then save a qfile and run
batch. The question is - is there a way to make OLQ walk a set backwards?
I have record ""A"" that is stored calc and record ""B"" that is stored via ""A""
but the most recent records are always stored first in the set. In my
query, I just want the first record stored chronologically (ie. the ""last""
one in the set). Is there a way to alter the path that OLQ creates when it
builds the query?
thanks,

"Chris,
I know the comment says it is for the runtime system, but I compared an ADSOOPTI load module to that dsect and everything seemed to match up.

Chris,
Did you look at the #OCBDS dsect?

thanks - but that control block seems to be build at runtime from sysgen
options . I am looking to map the ADSOOPTI load module

Re: DB2 Spin
"Anybody detect a little bias here? From the Winter web site:

""You will see that DB2 figures prominently in most of the 2003 TopTen lists.
These lists generate quite a bit of publicity in
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
the IT community, so we want to see even more of DB2 in the 2005 TopTen
lists! Any database with at least 1 TB (1 terabyte)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
of data (freespace and redundancy excluded) may be entered, so you
large-database DB2 users (mainframe, Linux, Unix,

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Windows), get that survey filled out! ""
Underlining done by myself. I don't see them encouraging competition from
users of other DBMS's. It's a bit like Carter asking how many people use
""little liver pills"" - most of the answers come from people who use ""little
liver pills"". How many of you ask your barber/hairdresser ""Do I need a
haircut?"" and honestly expect to be told to come back in a couple of weeks
because you really don't need one today? Sometimes it pays to think about
the questions being asked, who has asked them and whether or not there's any
vested interest.
