user information and database information for audit purpose

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Apr 12, 2005
Hi Everybody:
We have a client that have a audit requirenment, they want a report that
contains information about what a user did at database level. The user
idea its check witch users are using the databases and specifically some
sensitive information. I know that there is some information in the
journals, but I could not find any link betwen the user and the database
information accessed or modified or erased and of course, the
presentation of the information for a user, not in a complicated way
like hex and not clear. I want to know if somebody in the idms word is
using any tool for audit purposes that helpus with this requerinment.

TIA.

Javier S.

"Javier, see if Allen Systems Group can help. They have a product called Tracer which has been rejuvanated
via SOX audits requirements. They give you one of the IDMS exits to use and the product itself.
It'll giver you for each update, who the userid is. I think they can help.

"It is my understanding that at run time, the 3rd-party product inserts the
userid onto the journal (perhaps with a user journal record)
