Re: [IDMSVENDOR-L] Mixed page group

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on May 9, 2005
keep in mind - a subschema has ALWAYS (at least as far back as 10.2)
been
able to have mixed page groups in them as long as any run unit did not
bind to multiple page groups. Now, since release 14.1, a run-unit can
bind
to areas within multiple page groups. HOWEVER, when run units (such as
the
aforementioned utilities) attempt to walk sets that cross page group
boundaries, as linda correctly states, the fun<?> begins.

in other words - having a subschema that maps to areas in multiple page
groups will not in and of itself burn you, but walking sets across those
page groups will indeed burn you.

Re: Mixed page group
"It's only a matter of time or it could be you have no page overlap across
page groups within your subschemas. Like I said, it doesn't fail most of
the time. However, the facts are that both Unload/Reload and Maintain Index
do unqualified dbkey FINDs. If you don't believe me, I'd suggest you
contact CA.
