ADSA/OLH Issue

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Jun 2, 2005
We use ADSA and OLH. One of our programmers needs to use a link instead of
execute next function in one of our dialogs. Since link bypasses ADSA, we
are manually moving the linked to dialog info into the global record. The
problem is that the global record is resetting to the higher level dialog on
every mapin and OLH is displaying help for that dialog instead of the one
linked to. Does anyone know of a way to get around this?

TIA

Re: how to overcome s913s in IDMS?
"Sounds like the ACID used by the CV does not have enough authority. We used
to get S913 on our CVs when we added database datasets that fell outside the
naming standards and the permits on the CV acids did not cover the dataset
name.

In ACF2 we added NON-CNCL to the acid used by the IDMS regions. The security
violation will be recorded in the CV log, but the CV will not abend.

The equivalent parameter in TSS although more powerfull is NODSNCHK. It
bypasses dataset security altogether.
