resetting a terminal

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Jun 30, 2005
Hi,

I'm hoping that someone has already written something for this. I'm
looking to setting up a task to which you pass the lterm name, and the
task varies the lterm off, the pterm off, the pterm back on, then the
lterm on.

If you have something to do this, would you be willing to share it?

Thanks,

Re: resetting a terminal
"Hello Laura:

ARCH Consulting has a product called Printer Monitor, it wakes up every
minute and examines printer PTERMS for an out of service condition.

If the printer is out of service it will issue the appropriate DCMT commands
to put it back in service.

Are you looking for this for printers?

You can review the product at www.archcons.com (http://www.archcons.com)
click on IDMS Utility Software.

Re: One Final PAV Question
"Chris ,

( Again , not actually using PAV but ....) Our experience of upgrading
the storage subsystem hardware is of both reduced I/O service time and a
reduction in CPU time for CA-IDMS .
