Product name for CCI?

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Jul 6, 2005
I want to search for published solutions for CCITCP (used by CA-Server).
This used to appear as product name ""CCI/MVS"". But now I can't find it
on Support Connect, nor any other likely name such as CA Common
Services, TNG390, ENF, etc. I am filling in for the person who normally
does this. Can anyone tell me what the product name for this component
is now?

Release 16.0 SP2 Install Comments
"Hi All,
I just completed the install of r16 SP2 (from r16 SP1) and the service
pack goes right in without any difficulties. Since I have just about every
product, it looks like this will be a very clean upgrade.
The only issue to watch out for is the fact that the install does not
update module IDMS-DB in the dictionary. A module called IDMS-DB-0502 is
added to the dictionary which contains all the SYSGEN updates needed for SP2
- this then needs to be INCLUDEd in all your systems. It's great that CA
now provides a module with only the new/changed items.
However, although member DLODDB in the SRCLIB is updated (for the changes
in module IDMS-DB), the install does not include a step to update IDMS-DB in
the dictionary. If you want to keep IDMS-DB in sync with the source (and up
to date), you'll need to do this update manually.
I had some good conversations with CA Install Integration on this small
issue and they will look into possibly doing something in future releases.

"Hi IDMSer's,

I am trying to use ADS /Trace in a 15.0 SP4 CV. I get into ADST and set

I can't find module ATCR99 in any 15.0 Tool Kit or IDMS libraries,
anyone know where it is?

Thanks,

Re: HIGH RLE AND STORAGE CONSUME !!!
"ADS/TRACE would be a last resort - as it can generate a LOT of output to the
DCLOG for every execution of the dialog(s) in question - this might cause
bottlenecking on DCLOG IO's and cause a performance problem. You would not
want to invoke ADS trace on the command line that invokes the application -
rather you would want to invoke it in the ADS process source itself - so
that it only applies to the one dialog - and only for certain parts of the
processing (for example - in the response but not in the premap process).

obtain calc employee.
trace all.
link 'SUBDIAL2'
trace off.

The preceding code example would ensure that trace is only activated during
the time that the higher level dialog has linked down to the lower level
dialog - and for the execution of the lower level dialog. This considerably
limits the log output but is enough to let you know if you are extending
your run unit or not - and may identify other problems as well. Be careful
of your dialog compile options - with ""trace all"" you will get a lot more
output with SYMBOLS/DIAGNOSTIC tables on in the compiled module than you
will if both are turned off.

HTH - cheers - Gary
