Hi,

A little while ago TC03957 was raised for 15.0. Now TC03958 and TC03959
have been raised for 16.0/2. We, at DOE, will start testing this out
soon. Watch for this problem if you have index keys that are compressed.

* PROB #: IDMS 3255 TEMP APAR : TC03958 DATE: 14 NOV 2005 *

* *

* Indexes where compression of index keys has been *

* defined can be corrupted during the insertion of a *

* record into the SR8. This is most likely to occur *

* when adjacent records share a significant number of *

* equal leading positions. *

* *

* It is recommended that any indexes defined with *

* symbolic key compression are rebuilt FROM MEMBERS *

* after the application of this apar. *

* *

* NOTE: This APAR applies to the following maintenance *

* level(s): *

* Service pack SP00, gen level 0401. *

* Service pack SP01, gen level 0408. *

* *

* NOTE: APAR TC03959 addresses the same problem for the *

* following maintenance level(s): *

* Service pack SP02, gen level 0502. *
