OLQ BATCH - from IDD

Hi all.

I am trying to run OLQ Batch using a QFILE that I created in OLQ menu
mode.

I think I remember that you can reference the QFILE name in the input
SYSIPT, but I can't recall the syntax; so the program will be executed
from the dictionary.

//SYSIPT DD *
SIGNON SS=IDMSNWKA DBNAME=STARDB DICTNAME=SYSDIRL OPTIONS=SPARSE HEADER
NOINTERRUPT
/*

A DBA, new to this site, dug up some jcl to run OLQ Batch, but I am not
sure whether it works. So I tried to punch the qfile over to a file to
append into the SYSIPT, and when I tried to run OLQ Batch, I received
a PHYSICAL ERROR and a condition code of 12 (see below).

IDMS DC507900 GET FOR FILE SYSIPT NOT SUCCESSFUL - PHYSICAL ERROR RC =
x'000000 IDMS DC507301 PHYSICAL I/O ERROR READING BLOCK 4 .
IDMS DC507904 %. & ,OLQBATCH,OLQSTEP ,D449,D IEF142I OLQBATCH OLQSTEP -
STEP WAS EXECUTED - COND CODE 0012

So two questions:

1. Can someone provide the command that direct the job to use the QFILE
from the dictionary?
(I hope I am remembering this correctly).

2. I punched the qfile over to TSO using IDMSDDDL, and put it into a
pds member (lrecl =80).
Is this what caused the PHYSICAL ERROR?

Thanks so much,

Cindy Kline

Re: OLQ BATCH - from IDD
"Here's an example of the SYSIPT content to run a Qfile at our shop. The (1)
is for version 1 of the Qfile, DICT is the dictionary name (from the dbname
table) if other than your system default, and DICTNO is the DDS node name if
the dictionary is not on the default node.
