To be honest, this question is probably pushing the list parameters, so
please reply to me off list

As of March 1, we're getting a new CIO. He name is Martin Schneider,
coming out of Gillette in Boston. All I know is that Gillette was bought
up by Procter and Gamble last year, so, apparently, Mr. Schneider was
    available.

Anybody know anything about the man, his work at Gillette (or prior), his
management style, etc., etc.?? This will be the first outsider we've had
in the position in at least 2 decades, and our world is going from nervous
    to paranoid.

Another reminder to reply to me off list and thank you all in advance.

"Thank you, but we've already seen it (isn't Google wonderful?)

For good, bad, or indifferent, these articles are generally puff pieces
prepared well in advance of publication. Having said that, it is noted,
and we're adding it to the equation as we speculate on what's about to
    happen to us.

I'll try to let the world know what, if anything I find out when Martin
(or will it be Mr. Schneider?) arrives.

    Thanks again.

In change there lies opportunity. It does look like your leadership has
brought a whirlbeater into town. The 'whipping's I've seen bode well
for consultants. For some reason, executives love to replace their
longtime knowledgeable employees with three times as many and expensive
substitutes plus more layers of management. It's a change alright. I
worked for a discount retailer in the ninties whose ownership was sold a
technology change by a big name national consulting company. Millions
of dollars later the company went belly up and about 70k employees lost
their jobs. But the consultants made out like bandits. At tech
conferences, the employees stayed at Motel 8, the consultans at the
    Moulin Rouge, with family.

    Re: [IDMSVENDOR-L] LU 6.2 Question
"Bill, it really depends ... as few as 5 each (winners and losers), as many
as 25 each. it just depends on the concurrent activity that you might want
or expect (or the VTAM folks will allow)
(and they are not always balanced (winners to losers)

    Re: LU 6.2 Question
    "Hi Bill.
We were a very large LU6.2 user in the past. We still have regions with 3 or more LU6.2 line drivers and some of those lines have over 300 LTE/PTE pairs. We no longer have the volume to justify those numbers, but I haven't ripped them out yet.
