"No disrespect to you Bill as you are doing your best but it just shows
why CA-IDMS is slowly disappearing.
CA-IDMS is a highly efficient and responsive DBMS if handled correctly.
It will not fail if run on auto-pilot but it will not perform as it
could.
You had mentioned an 'IDMS consultant' reviewing the expansion but if it
were me I would be failing my responsibilities if I had not done the
groundwork and run DBAN's etc to examine clustering and buffering before
the expansion.
