IDMS-STATUS and the CICS-EXEC Protocol

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Mar 6, 2006
Hello All:

This question is for those sites that have COBOL Programs that execute
in
CICS using the CICS-EXEC Protocol performing IDMS Data Base Activity.

Do you use the standard IDMS-STATUS for COBOL in these programs or do
you
have a tailored version just for the CICS-EXEC Protocol?

Re: R14.1 vs. R16 ADS performance
"Bob -

Yes - We run with Language Environment enabled in the CV's for our DC-COBOL.
All the testing I've done, however, has been local mode retrieval.
The biggest increase in CPU time I've seen so far has been with the sample
assembler program.

Thanks.
