R14.1 vs. R16 CPU - SQL

Since applying TB96715, our CPU increase for network database access has
been lowered to 1-2%, which we consider acceptable for an upgrade.

However, we are still seeing a large CPU increase for SQL database
access. It varies from 10-40%. These tests are local mode batch,
running against production data (large), using both BCF and COBOL
programs. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have some clients that do a direct submit of the Journal (Log) offload
via the WTOEXIT and others that use the WTOEXIT to trigger CA-7 to submit
the offloads. No problems in either, as long as you ensure there is an
INIT open.

"CA is working diligently on this. I wondered if anyone else was having
the same problem, or it's just me.

I had earlier reported that QO76681/76683/76684/76685 made a big
difference, but now I don't think so. I wasn't testing properly at the
time. To make valid test against production (which is still at R14.1),
I had To:
A) Use the R16 load libs.
B) Copy the catalog, and run the R16 ""convert catalog"" against the
copy.
C) Reassemble load modules used by batch, such as RHDCSRTT and
RHDCOPTF.

I may not be testing properly yet. Can anyone thing of something I may
have missed?
