Kay,

Sorry if I am asking for information that you previously provided but:-

What is your OS?

What version of COBOL were your DC-COBOL programs compiled under, before
the upgrade, and what version do you have available now? (When we moved
to 15.0 from 14.1 we also went from COBOL 2.2 to COBOL 3.2 and
re-compiled all DC-COBOL because the load modules were bigger and did
not want to slowly fill our Load Libraries to capacity over time)

Are you running under LE?

Thanks

Chris

Re: R16 upgrade at the State of Iowa - a success!
"Kay -

You may already know this, but TB96715 was revised on 03/17/06.
This version will give more improvement over any earlier version.

Thanks.

We have three issues:

1) Increase for local mode COBOL batch that accesses network IDMS. This
was largely resolved by TB96715. We no longer consider it a problem.

2) Increase for ADS that accesses network IDMS. Many of our ADS dialogs
call DC-COBOL programs - not sure if this is part of the problem or not.
We also see a similar increase for IDMS Server tasks that access network
IDMS via COBOL table procedures.

3) Increase for local mode COBOL batch that accesses IDMS/SQL.

Interestingly, we have not seen a noticeable increase for IDMS Server
tasks that access IDMS/SQL.
