PTF QO78461

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Jun 28, 2006
Hello Listers ! I have a quick question regarding a problematic PTF.

PTF QO78461 was recently corrected and released for general use.

Does anyone have any experience with this corrected version (good,
bad, or otherwise) ?

TIA

"What was wrong with a delete and re-allocate (either in TSO or BATCH)? =
It has to be more CPU efficient than these options....
=20
I had ""almost"" forgotten about IEHLIST and IEHPROGM and am trying to =
forget CA-CULPRIT.....
requires CA-CULPRIT (of course)

well . in my case it was because i could not get complete control of the
dataset - our production control staff said there were too many jobs to
put on hold (there were alot of IDMS jobs) , so i could never get the
chance to delete or rename the dataset (someone else always had it)

if was perfectly okay, however, to allow the IDMS jobs to abend with an
s806 so the only way i could empty the loadlib

i am using the same technique to install R11 of Unicenter DB2 tools
(gasp!) since there are far too many batch jobs using the loadlib to try
to delete it

"Re: A ""complete"" cobol program"
"this may be a dumb thought - it has been years since I have done serious IDMS dictionary work and don't have access to IDMS or a copy of the network subschema (IDMSNWKA?)

But I recall using the network subschema to access info - I specifically remember getting (actual) queue records - is the information you are looking for available there?
