CA World 2007 and IDMS

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Sep 18, 2006
Hi,
I know it's bit early and schedule is not even published so I have
browsed some 2005 topics to find out what kind of idms-presentations are
available in general. They all seem very interesting but is there
anything else, longer presentations etc, for example has IUA
presentations in CAW also? I looked google archive (apparently this list
is mirrored to usenet) and seems like that during previous years IUA has
had some pre-CAW courses? Any general tips to create a schedule are also
welcome. My view to topics is a view of a DBA, a beginner level, so I
believe as a novice I might benefit a lot if I could attend the CA World
(any arguments are also greatly appreciated). In work I have used
CA-products for many years though, ADS and so on.

"I would be highly interested in such a topic. Perhaps I can cost
justify the attendance to my employer as investigation of a potential
DB2 artificial intelligence tool, using an IDMS network database. I
have been feeling kind of depressed at IDMS's vaneing in the market
place Doctor, this surely would pick up my spirits. Who knows, IDMS
might come out the winner after all. As long as users can point and
click their way with it.
