Re:Dictionary page sizes

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Nov 14, 2006
In the past, we used to give the load area (DDLDCLOD) a larger page size
than the dictionary area proper (DDLDML). I don't what the rationale
was for this, or if it is still valid. Are there any guidelines for
dictionary page sizes? And what about the SQL catalog?

"Gary,

Are you really still running 3380 disks?

23476 is half a track on a 3380.

27996 is half a track on a 3390.

3390's were released in 1987.

You should have seen how much fun it was to install version 2.6 on a
360/30 with 2311 disks.
