established?

I remember from a webcast that there was talk about 1Q2008 as being
subset for 15.0 (when 17.0 goes GA) - has this been ""etched in stone""? -
is there a link on the CA site that will always contain this kind of
information (that we can check from time to time?)

thanks,

If so do you have any comparative performance figures?

Re: has a sunset date for 15.0 (GA for 17.0) been definitively established?
"I would like to provide a response to the questions recently raised on
IDMS-L regarding CA's plans for dropping support for CA-IDMS release
15.0. You can find CA's End of Service (EOS) policy for a product
release in the Enterprise Technical Support Lifecycle Policy document on
the SupportConnect.ca.com home page. Per this policy, there is a
minimum 12-month notification period prior to expiring support on a
product release. Notification of EOS for a product release will be given
to all licensed Customers at least 12 months prior to the next GA
release date.

Since CA-IDMS is supported on multiple operating systems, it is our
intention to drop support for CA-IDMS 15.0 when CA-IDMS r17 is GA for
z/OS, z/VSE, and z/VM. At this point, this is likely to be in the third
quarter of 2008. As we get closer to identifying the actual End of
Service date for CA-IDMS release 15.0, we will send out notification to
all customers (as we have in the past) and, in line with the corporate
policy, we will give at least 12 months notice.
