TCP/IP Socket interface

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Jan 29, 2007
Hi everyone,

I would like to know if anyone has implemented in production an
application using the R16 TCP/IP Socket inferface support.

Thank you,

"John & Laura,

Thanks very much for your (virtually real-time) assistance guys (esp. you
Laura). Its much appreciated. I'll try to rebuild the Index.

PS: I'm located in Brisbane, Australia. The real-time conversation was
nice.

"Mike,

The abnd3001 gives the absolute page number, so it looks to me like you
have a corrupt index, so as John Collins just suggested, I would rebuild
it from members.

Good luck,
Laura

Laura,

The DMCL for this area is defined as ""1700001 thru 1775360"". I'm guessing
that 6738 is relative, and equates to 1706739? Because if 6738 is
absolute, then ABND3001 describes the problem, but then its a very strange
error.

Are you sure that this page number is an absolute value?

Would a Rebuild Index fix a dodgy page number like this?

Thanks very much.

Mike.

"Mike,

It is the ABEND code 3001 that you need to reference. I would rebuild
the index from members, after checking the DMCL and file mappings. The
index is probably corrupt and a SR8 is pointing to the page in the error
message erroneously. Please, see the 3001 message below:

ABND3001 3001

Reason: An attempt to map a database page number to a file has failed.
A logical database page number has been generated for which no
associated file description can be found in the DMCL tables. Check that
all necessary areas are copied in the DMCL tables.

Module: IDMSDBIO
